JOURNAL
The stock that i chose to talk about in my journal this week is Wells Fargo. (WFC) I chose this stock because i use Wells Fargo as my bank. For example i have my debit card with them. Right now Wells Fargo is selling at 26.31 per share. It is also going down right now. I think that it might be a good idea to buy this stock soon because for it's 52 week high and low it goes from 22.58-34.25. It's about four dollars away from being at its low so it may drop but since christmas is coming up i think people will be running to the bank more often to get money out and stuff. Some competitors with Wells Fargo is Bank of America (BAC) Right now Bank of America is selling at 6.29 per share. There is a significany price difference between the two banks. I think Wells fargo would be a more solid company to invest in rather than Bank of America because Wells is a more solid bank and doesn't have much hidden fees.
TRANSACTIONS
A stock that i chose to purchase this week was a crude oil company. (OIL) I chose to buy this because it is very close to it's low right now. Also more oil per barrel is getting produced each day and gas prices will be going up. Right now it is trading at 21.33. I bought 400 shares of this company at that price. I believe that in about 1-2 months it should go up to about 27.00 per share because winter is coming and people need new car oil and oil is at a high demand right now.
RESEARCH
A stock that i chose to research is Dell (DELL). I chose to research this stock because i use the dell computers in school most of the time besides the iPad. I believe that to invest in Dell right now would probably be a medium risk investment. It is a solid company but it's trading right now towards it's 52 week high so i would maybe wait for the economy to go down so Dell goes down and then purchase it.
Good job, type is hard to read.
ReplyDeleteGood Job! For your readers sake, you might considering you transaction and your research being on the same stock. It would allow you to go more in depth and include more information.
ReplyDeleteI agree with tamara you did a fantastic job talking about both stocks but with your research and transcactions you should do the same stock so you can be more in depth and help your readers understand more about the stocks that your buying. anothing thing you could improve on is talking about competitors with more of your stocks because you just did with your first one and not the last 2
ReplyDeleteYou did well by including how much the stock was and that it's decreasing and stating facts about how it could actually affect the stock. But really, change the font color.
ReplyDeleteWow! you're so thorough. Nice jobe Frankie:) you were very specific and covered just about everything in every area of your journal and did a very nice job with including catalysts. I think maybe the only think you could expand on is competitors in your transaction or research but other than that you touched on all of it!
ReplyDeletenice work! you have good information.
ReplyDeleteGreat job with your vocab sentences. Your transaction is done very well, and is very detailed. You do great every week by the way! :)

ReplyDeleteYour fellow classmates make good points...type is hard to read, ALL three areas are suppose to be about same stock ( this week, normaly its about 2)
ReplyDeleteSo in looking at wells Fargo, your info is good but when you say is solid ...what makes them more solid. Is there data, historical info that highlights that
nice job frankie
ReplyDeleteIthought this was a very great transaction but having more background info would have made this better overall very good.
